About Me

I’m Lindsey, a Perth-based baby and child sleep specialist, mum, and grandma with over 30 years of experience in early childhood education. I specialise in helping families create gentle, realistic sleep solutions that fit their child and their lifestyle, so everyone can wake feeling more rested and ready for the day.

Over the years, I’ve seen how transformative sleep can be, not just for a child’s wellbeing, but for the whole family’s quality of life. My role is to guide and coach you with calm, personalised support, so you feel understood and never alone on the journey to sleep better.

Early Learning Service Support

Consultant support for Nursery, Toddler & Kindy teams supporting sleep, rest and regulation

I work alongside Early Learning Services in a consultative role, supporting Nursery, Toddler, and Kindy teams with sleep and rest practices, transitions, and communication with families.

This support strengthens consistency between home and care, builds educator confidence, and supports families to feel informed and reassured about their child’s needs while in care.

This is not educator-in-ratio support. It is specialist, relational support that sits alongside teams, guiding practice, communication, and decision-making.

Support begins with observation and understanding.

I spend time observing sleep, rest, and settling practices to understand the children, the environment, and existing routines. From there, I guide educators and offer considered recommendations that support children’s regulation, educator confidence, and clear communication with families.

Where appropriate, I support the use of simple sleep journals to document observations, conversations, and agreed adjustments. These records support reflective practice and can contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan.

Families also benefit from specific, practical recommendations suited to them, such as support with early waking or nap timings, which can improve consistency between home and care and positively influence a child’s day in the learning environment.

Professional learning sessions (educators & families)

Professional learning is developed in response to observed needs within the service.

I design and deliver professional learning sessions for educators and families that support understanding of sleep, rest, and regulation across infancy and early childhood. Sessions focus on the practical application of knowledge within both home and early learning environments.

Content may include:

  • Understanding sleep and rest needs across developmental stages

  • The role of environment, routine, and regulation in supporting rest

  • Supporting consistent, realistic expectations between home and care

Sessions are tailored to each service, grounded in everyday practice, and designed to complement existing philosophy and routines rather than replace them.
